How to Apply CNS Acrylic
-
Prep the natural nail
Gently buff the surface to remove shine and create a smooth foundation. -
Cleanse
Wipe the nail plate thoroughly to remove any dust, oils, or surface contaminants. -
Self-prime with CNS Nail Liquid
Dip your brush into CNS Nail Liquid and lightly coat the nail plate. Our liquid is formulated with adhesion promoters built in, so no additional primer is needed. -
Work within the locked system
For the best results, always pair CNS Nail Liquid with CNS Acrylic Powder. They’re designed to perform together as a complete, balanced system. -
Pick up your bead
Use a 2:1 ratio—slightly less liquid to powder—for the ideal consistency and control. -
Bleed out excess liquid
After picking up your bead, gently touch the belly of your brush to your wipe/towel. This removes only the extra liquid, helping prevent flooding and giving you a perfect, workable bead.
-
Place the bead
Position the bead gently onto the nail. Start near the apex and guide it where needed, avoid pressing too hard. -
Shape and build
Pat and press the bead into place, feathering out the edges. Continue applying additional beads as needed to build the nail structure and strength. -
Perfect the apex
Focus on creating balance, thin at the cuticle and free edge, with a strong apex for durability. -
Let it set
Allow the acrylic to polymerize fully. The surface should appear matte and firm when ready to file. -
Refine and finish
File and shape the nail, refining the surface for smoothness. Finish with your chosen top coat or gel polish.
